With its 160 kilometers of coastline made up of sandy beaches, coves and dotted with magnificent resorts, the  Riviera Maya is one of the most popular vacation destinations in México.

Which is one of the main attractions of the Riviera Maya. At the southern end of the Riviera Maya, places like Tulum and Punta Allen are special getaway destinations, favored by nature  lovers since the early days before large scale development began further north.

Scuba diving is one of the main activities people come to practice here. Most diving locations are situated between Puerto Morelos and Tulum.

The Riviera Maya is known the world over for its underground rivers and submerged caverns located deeper inland. Although it sits a short distance out to sea, Cozumel Island also forms part of the Riviera Maya and is justly famous for the quality of its deep water scuba diving and marine national park.
